Green Enamel Seahorse Brooch

What's for sale?

This is a beautiful brooch designed as a seahorse from green enamel and gold-coloured metal.

It's unsigned but nicely made. The enamel is translucent in several shades of green and has been set into champlevé cells to create the body and scales. The eye is a single clear stone and there is a locking pin on the back

Champlevé (raised field) is the technique which creates enamel-filled sections with raised borders.
