What's for sale?

This is a Victorian, solid copper candlestick holder or chamber stick made by Henry Loveridge & Co.

It's a classic style with circular handle and thumb rest, which is fastened by brass rivets.

The edges of the drip tray have been scalloped as decoration.

Who made it and when?

It was made by Henry Loveridge & Co. from Wolverhampton, England. Their stylised "HL" mark is from around 1886. The stamped "RG 2057" on the handle is the registration number.

What condition is it in?

  • Second-hand
  • In very good condition
  • No dents
  • There are a few scratches on the tray and underneath
  • The copper has aged (nicely)

What are the measurements?

  • 18 cm from the rim to the handle
