This is a set of five, hand made, Holmegaard "Princess" champagne glasses in the rare, coupe or saucer shape.

The Princess range, with a conical stem and captured bubble, was designed by Danish architect Bent Severin in 1957. It featured a variety of glass sizes and profiles, all sharing the same clean, modern, symmetrical lines. These are the rare champagne saucers which have a beautifully-rounded bowl, the classic champagne saucer.

Who made them and when?

They were made by the highly-regarded Danish glass maker Holmegaard. The Princess range is over 60 years old and a beautiful example of Scandinavian design. These will have been manufactured anytime between 1958 and 1995.
