A large Victorian serving platter for sale.

This is a very large, Victorian serving platter made by Wedgwood during the late 1800s.  It was shaped by hand and also painted by hand in black and gold, over a red and brown transfer pattern.

This is an impressive piece of old tableware and it's been put to good use over the years.

Large platters are an excellent way to present food and are perfect for Christmas dinner. Old china tableware can continue to be used and enjoyed, but it shouldn't be put in a dishwasher or left immersed in hot water. Wash by hand with warm water and washing-up liquid.
