What's for sale?

This is a deep carpet bag made from a rich, red and gold-patterned fabric.

It has brown leather handles and buckle strap, and good brass fittings like the buckle and the pretty little rivets.

The underneath is protected by four steel ball feet and inside are two concealed, steel "D" rings for attaching a shoulder strap.

Inside there are three pockets, two small and one large, as well as the main compartment.

This style of bag is known as a Gladstone Carpet Bag. It's soft, roomy and would also make a great overnight bag.

What condition is it in?

• Second-hand
• In good condition
• There is a small patch of red fabric missing on the non-buckled side, half way up, middle left
• There's a little verdigris on the strap rivets
