Actually, they came to play at the Cactus Muziekcentrum. We really enjoyed the gig, they are excellent. More here: https://stereolab.co.uk

And then there was a misty walk back home along the Gentpoortvest. Can you spot the sleeping cormorant?

A few pictures from a holiday in Devon, England, the county where Paul's Dad was born and Plymouth, the city where Paul's eldest brother lived for many years.

A view across Tavistock, past the Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Assumption towards Dartmoor.

Up on the moors above Tavistock.

One of the doors of the Dolphin Hotel, on the Barbican at Plymouth.

Plymouth, by the Hoe.

Plymouth, looking out towards Drake's Island and Mount Edgcumbe park beyond.

One of Brittany Ferries ships, on its way to either Roscoff in France, or Santander in Spain.

An uninterrupted view of the Eddystone Lighthouse, jus barely visible on the horizon, in the middle of the picture. Squint or you'll miss it, but it is definitely there.

For context, someone else's photo of the Eddystone Lighthouse on the Eddystone Reef.

Plymouth Hoe, near from where Sir Francis Drake set out in 1588.

Stonehenge, as seen from the car as we drove by. When we were kids, growing up in the 1960s, we were able to touch the stones; I think we've both got photos of doing that very thing. But not today, I think the country finally woke up to just how important they are.
This is de Burg in Bruges, which along with de Markt nearby are the heart of the city. It's very early in the morning and it's uncharacteristically free of crowds.

From the left: the corner of the Brugse Vrije, it's late 1700s facade from when it was a courthouse, then Stadshuis Brugge, the town hall from the 14th century, in the next corner, the beautiful 12th century Basilica of the Holy Blood, followed by the obligatory chocolate shop, restaurant and finally, the Belfort poking out from de Markt, above the trees.
