What's for sale?
This is a spoon rest by Price & Kensington potteries, hand-decorated with their charming, spongeware blue sheep design.
Spongeware is a form of decoration which is applied by hand, using shaped pieces of sponge. There was a full range of tableware available in this range, including teapots, mugs, plates and various serving dishes. This is a relatively rare item to find.
Who made it and when?
It's a modern piece, made by the Staffordshire pottery Price & Kensington. The maker's mark reads:

- Made in England
What condition is it in?
- Second-hand
- In excellent condition
- No chips or damage
- There is some wear underneath from where it has been sat on a surface
What are the measurements?
- 18cm long (7 inches)
- 7.5cm wide (3 inches)
- 3cm high (just over 1 inch)
- 135 grams
