This is a beautifully-shaped, ceramic jug with an attractive, blue and grey striped finish, from Shelley's Harmony art ware series.
Shelley Potteries were a Staffordshire-based manufacturer that has quite a following among collectors. They became part of the Doulton group in the mid 1960s.
The maker's mark on the base of this piece was in use between 1925 and the early 1940s. The Harmony range of decorated slip ware was introduced in 1932.
