What's for sale?

This is a wonderful, blue and grey, saltglaze jug with a curled handle and long, "beaky" spout. It was made by Jane Hamlyn, a highly regarded and widely exhibited British potter.

It's decorated with her notched, roulette pattern and bands of blue and green.

Salt glaze is produced by adding salt and other ingredients into the kiln during the high temperature part of the firing. Jane Hamlyn is an expert and for us, the colours and textures stood out from everything else. This is one of our favourites.
