This is a Sterling silver bangle or bracelet in an Art Nouveau style. The design is a series of open squares, contrasted with floral motifs, and is reminiscent of the designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Who made it and when?
The maker's unknown. The hallmark suggests it was imported into England after 1976. It reads:
- An illegible maker's stamp
- 925 and scales, which is the post-1976 export control mark and International Convention hallmark
- A barely-visible lion's head, which is the London Assay Office mark
