André Giraud Limoges Blue and White Porcelain Pedestal Bowl

What's for sale?

This is a large, porcelain pedestal bowl from the French city of Limoges.

The decoration takes two forms: the pretty floral pattern on the interior and foot, and the relief pattern of flowers and stalks which forms the scalloped edge of the bowl.

It's a well made, good quality piece, probably from the mid to late 20th century. The maker's marks underneath read:

• GIRAUD
• limoges france in green
• a blue plumed helmet
• A. Giraud & Co Limoges in black

What condition is it in?

• Second-hand
• In very good condition
• No cracks or chips

What are the measurements?

• 17.5 cm high (7 inches)
• 23.5 cm diameter (9.25 inches)
• 955 grams
