What's for sale?

This is a glamorous, signed choker necklace in an articulated, openwork design with a gold tone finish.

It was made by Jewelcraft, the UK manufacturing arm of Coro, an American costume jewellery company and is probably from the 1960s or 1970s. At one end of the chain is Jewelcraft's trademark pine cone.

It's an expansive necklace of 26 segments which to us resemble licking flames. It's completed by two short chains and a shepherd's hook fastener, so the length can be altered to suit, between 35cm and 46cm (14 and 18 inches).

Jewelcraft was one of the brand names used by Coro in America from the 1920s, but it was more widely used for pieces produced in Britain, after the British jewellery maker Ciro successfully defended their similar trading name.

  • In very good condition
