Coro Rhinestone Drop Pendant Necklace

What's for sale?

This is a signed choker necklace in a beautiful design by Coro, the American costume jewellery maker.

The necklace comprises a bib panel with separate pendant. The bib is designed as intertwined vines, each with three small petals of marquise cut rhinestones. The pendant is a larger, pear cut crystal flower, with another two small rhinestone petals.

The bib is attached to a silver-coloured chain of rolled segments. The chain is closed with a fold-over clasp.

The clasp is signed Coro, without copyright symbol.  The ageing and style suggests it was made during the 1950s.

What condition is it in?

• Second-hand
• In good condition
• The smaller stones have picked up the citrine colour with age
• The polished finish has some crazing and a few signs of wear

What are the measurements?

• 17cm (6.5 inch) drop
• 7 cm wide
• 22 grams

The mannequin dress form in the pictures is around size 10-12.
