What's for sale?
This is an attractively-coloured studio pottery vase, handmade and hand-decorated with alternating, horizontal bands of blue and orange over a cream-coloured base.
It was made in one of the studio potteries working under the name Humlebaek Keramik. Humlebaek is in Denmark and lies in North Zealand, about 35 km north of Copenhagen. The potteries were in operation from the late 1930s until around 1970. The maker's mark is impressed on the base and reads:
