This is a signed, choker necklace by Trifari, the American costume jewellery company. It is shimmering display of reds and blues and is probably from the 1960s or late 1950s.
The design is a pretty ribbon of alternating red leaves and colourful, iridescent crystals, known as Aurora Borealis. There are 23 articulated pairs of each, set in a gold-coloured metal alloy.
At each end is a short extender chain, for altering the length a little. At one end is a shepherd's hook fastener, signed "TRIFARI ©", while at the other end is a large, faceted, oval bead.
It's a stylish, piece of vintage costume jewellery which catches the light beautifully. It has a colourful and luxurious look and a nice choice for a special occasion.
What condition is it in?

- Some of the extender chain links are tarnished
- The hook fastener has lost the gold-colour from its surface
