Warner Bros Sylvester the Cat Bottle Stopper

What's for sale?

This is a merchandised bottle stopper from the Warner Brothers' Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies cartoon series, featuring the head of Sylvester the cat (real name Sylvester J Pussycat Senior).

His first official appearance was in 1945 and was famously voiced by Mel Blanc until 1989. He continues to make appearances after that with other voice actors.

We think it is made from hand-painted resin and is probably from the 1970s or 1980s.

What condition is it in?

• Second-hand
• In fair to good condition
• The black is worn from two of the whiskers and from the tip of one ear
• The cork is in very good condition and doesn't look to have been used

What are the measurements?

• 6cm high (over 2.25 inches)
• 5.5cm at the widest (just under 2.25 inches)
• 39 grams
