What's for sale?

This is a complete and original copy of the January 1930, Winter Sale catalogue from the Army & Navy department store.

The Army and Navy was a countrywide department store, originally incorporated in the 1870s as a co-operative society group of army and navy officers.

This is an illustrated sale catalogue, with prices, covering clothing, linen, accessories, musical instruments, stationery, prams, flooring and rugs. It contains 70 pages of text and black and white illustrations. Its was probably included with newspapers.

It's held in a mylar bag mounted in a black, engineered wood frame with perspex aperture.

When framing printed memorabilia, we use originals. We don't cut or deface and use a variety of archival methods to preserve and display. The frame is sealed but our method of pinning makes disassembling easier, if you wanted to view the piece (it would require remounting and resealing afterwards).

Like all wall-mounted artwork, avoid hanging in sustained, direct sunlight. Indirect sunlight is fine, but the UV rays in direct sunlight can cause fading over time.
