A framed, second-hand, promotional pamphlet from Victorian London. Complete and original in a frame.
What's for sale?
"S" is for Singer. This is a complete and original copy of a Singer's Sewing Machines advertising pamphlet, printed in 1891.
It was produced by the Singer Manufacturing Co. to promote their sales and repairs agent Madame Suddaby of Wandsworth in London. It shows prices and images of Singer's IF, IM and VS machines. Printing is in one colour, on both sides of a quarto sheet and folded into eight pages. Her shop was at 72 Northcote Road, SW11. It's still used as a shop today.
It's mounted in a black, engineered wood frame with perspex aperture.
When framing printed memorabilia, we use originals. We don't cut or deface and use a variety of archival methods to preserve and display. The frame is sealed but our method of pinning makes disassembling easier, if you wanted to view the piece (it would require remounting and resealing afterwards).
Like all wall-mounted artwork, avoid hanging in sustained, direct sunlight. Indirect sunlight is fine, but the UV rays in direct sunlight can cause fading over time.
