What's for sale?
This is a porcelain sugar shaker or sifter made by Staffordshire manufacturer Midwinter. It was made during the 1940s and has a potentially rare transfer pattern that we've been unable to identify.
Who made it and when?
It was made by the pottery manufacturer W R Midwinter Ltd of Burslem, Staffordshire. The maker's mark dates it between 1942 and 1947 and reads:

What condition is it in?
- Second-hand
- In good condition
- No chips or cracks to the body
- There is some corrosion on the chrome neck, as shown

- 16cm high
- 6cm wide
