What's for sale?
This is a gorgeous yellow and white brooch in the shape of a flower. It's made from Sterling silver with yellow and white enamel applied to the surface.
Who made it and when?
It was made by Norwegian jewellery manufacturer Aksel Holmsen, probably sometime between 1942 and 1971. The maker's mark reads:
- norway
- sterling
- The Aksel Holmsen monogram and 925s
- On the stem are two other marks, probably identifying the individuals who made it
What condition is it in?
- Second-hand
- In good overall condition
- There is damage to the enamel where the "11 o'clock" petal meets the centre, as shown
What are the measurements?
- 3.5cm width
- 4.5cm in length
- 8 grams
