A small, hand decorated, fat lava vase from 1960s West Germany. Second-hand.
What's for sale?
This is a small, "fat lava" vase from 1960s West Germany and is a very nice example of the work of Steuler Keramik in white clay.
The combination of colours on this example is excellent and the main bright blue glaze has been beautifully blended into the brown, using the white to ease the transition. The interior is a matt, dark brown glaze.
The 1950s to 1970s is a very collectable period for West German art pottery, and the designs and colours remain fresh and contemporary.

- In very good condition
- No chips or cracks
What are the measurements?
- 15cm high (6 inches)
