This is an earthenware sugar sifter or shaker made by T G Green in their matt, biscuit glaze with green stripes, known as Streamline.

Who made it and when?

It was made by Derbyshire manufacturer T.G Green during the 1930s.

The maker's mark just reads:

• Made in England

What condition is it in?

• Second-hand
• In good condition
• No chips or cracks
• There's a green overpainted mark, as shown

What are the measurements?

• 11cm high
• 7cm in diameter
• 355 grams
