A brief history of T G Green pottery
T.G Green was a Derbyshire earthenware manufacturer of kitchen and table ware, best known for their striped "Cornishware" (which is still made today).
- Founded in 1864 by Thomas Goodwin Green when he bought a pottery at Gresley, Derbyshire
- During the 1920s they introduced Cornishware in the signature Electric Blue
- During the 1930s they introduced Streamline
- In 1987 they were bought by Cloverleaf
- In 2007 the Gresley factory closed and production ceased
- In 2009 the brand was resurrected by new owners and Cornishware is now made in China
