Miller Brothers Sterling Silver and Glass Scent Bottle

What's for sale?

This is a small, Victorian glass scent bottle with a threaded, hallmarked, solid Sterling silver top. The top is nicely engraved with a scrolled pattern of foliage, typical of Art Nouveau.

Who made it and when?

It was made by the Birmingham company Miller Brothers in 1901. The top is hallmarked and reads:

• M Bros
• An anchor denoting the Birmingham assay office
• The lion assay mark for Sterling silver
• A "b" which style denotes 1901

What condition is it in?

• Second-hand
• Very good condition with no damage

What are the measurements?

• 7cm high
• 2.5cm in diameter
• 41 grams
