A brief history of Crown Devon pottery

They're a highly collectable make of Staffordshire earthenware, manufacturing between 1879 and 1982.

  • In 1879 Simon Fielding opened the Railway Works in Stoke-on-Trent
  • In 1912 the works were renamed "The Devon Pottery" and the use of Crown Devon began
  • In 1982 the pottery closed
