This is a small, mid 20th century, branded, violet-flavoured, liquorice sweet tin. It's French and is from Uzes, near Marseille.
A red cockerel, the national emblem of France, stands at the centre of the design. Zan the manufacturer, was ultimately taken over by Haribo, who still has a factory in Uzes. The 'grains de café' probably refers to the size of the sweets. The overall look suggests manufacture during the 1960s.
